PAINTING, CERAMICS, DRAWING & OBJECT STUDIES

Studio Practice

A field of surfaces and objects where color, clay, paper, and cut canvas hold the body's pressure, turning private images into things the viewer can face, circle, and enter.

Tumor in Confusion

 2022

Oil Painting on Canvas
7.4 x 8 feet

This work incorporates documentation from my performance exhibition. At its center, a gray body appears peaceful yet alien—like an intrusive tumor within a world in chaos. Three demonic figures embody humanity’s desire for violence, mocking her timidity and attempting to draw her into a distorted social order.

Three in/on/with/about One

 2022

Oil and Acrylic Painting on Canvas

7.5 x 4.58 feet

These three works examine the subconscious, fragmented identity, and psychological instability. Through distorted bodies, conflicting colors, and stream-of-consciousness imagery, they explore the tension between instinct, self-control, social pressure, and mental collapse.

Double Confusion

2022

Oil Painting on Canvas
48 x 48 inches

Double Confusion explores self-reflection and self-destruction through a fragmented body intertwined with fractal patterns. The work presents identity as unstable and continuously dissolving into its surrounding visual world.

Conceptual Thangka

2020

Ink Drawing and Gold Leaf on Silk
12 x 12 inches

These two drawings reinterpret Buddhist iconography through contemporary figures and symbols. By combining halos, ritual poses, multiple arms, and objects associated with power and violence, the works examine the tension between spiritual transcendence, personal desire, and social control.
